Google Classroom 

Purpose of Students Using Google Classroom in MVCSD

Google Classroom is the district’s online learning platform that supports instruction, communication, and organization between teachers and students.

Why Students Use Google Classroom

Students use Google Classroom to:

• Access assignments – View daily work, homework, projects, and learning materials posted by their teacher.
• Submit completed work – Turn in assignments digitally.
• Receive feedback and grades – See teacher comments, corrections, and scores.
• Access class resources – View notes, presentations, videos, links, and other instructional materials.
• Communicate with teachers – Ask questions and stay informed about classroom updates.

Google Classroom helps keep all class materials organized in one secure location and allows students to continue learning both in school and at home.

Classlink launch pad

ClassLink LaunchPad is the district’s secure single sign-on platform that gives students quick and easy access to all of their digital learning applications in one place.

Why Students Use ClassLink LaunchPad

Students use ClassLink LaunchPad to:

• Access learning applications – Open programs such as Google Classroom, i-Ready, Nearpod, Clever, and other district-approved educational tools.
• Use one secure login – Sign in once to access multiple programs without needing separate usernames and passwords.
• Access resources from school or home – Use district learning tools on any device with internet access.
• Stay organized – Find all instructional apps in one dashboard.

ClassLink simplifies access to digital learning resources and helps students transition smoothly between different educational platforms.

Student Access Requirement

In order to access their school applications:

• The student must log into ClassLink LaunchPad using their MVCSD district credentials.
• Without signing in, the child will not be able to access district learning programs or online resources.
• Students should use their assigned district username and password.

Parents should ensure their child:

• Knows their district login information
• Logs into ClassLink LaunchPad regularly
• Uses ClassLink as the starting point to access school learning programs

Progress Book 

ProgressBook is the district’s online gradebook and student information system that allows students and families to monitor academic progress throughout the school year.

Why Students Use ProgressBook

Students use ProgressBook to:

• View grades – Monitor scores on assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects.
• Track academic progress – Stay informed about overall averages in each class.
• Review missing assignments – Identify incomplete or missing work.
• Check attendance – View attendance records.
• Stay informed – Monitor academic performance in real time.

ProgressBook helps students take responsibility for their learning by providing ongoing access to their academic information.

Student Access Requirement

In order to view grades and academic information:

• The student must log into ProgressBook using their assigned district credentials.
• Without signing in, the child will not be able to see grades, attendance, or assignment information.
• Students should keep their username and password secure.

Parents are also encouraged to:

• Create and use a ParentAccess ProgressBook account
• Regularly monitor their child’s grades and attendance
• Contact the school with any questions regarding academic progress
